I knew INSTORE was popular - our all-family staff reads it eagerly. But this is one for your record books:
Today, while operating a pneumatic nail gun, our son, Tom, accidentally (well, that's obvious, isn't it!) shot himself in the hand with a four-inch nail. As his wife, Yvonne, rushed him to a nearby emergency room, she called me to ask if I could meet them there. As we stood by helplessly watching, Tom was given a tetanus shot, painkillers, and antibiotics, and of course, they removed the nail, which miraculously didn't hit any bones in his hand. Okay, okay - enough "General Hospital". Here's the part you'll love:
After they'd removed the nail, and started an I.V. of antibiotics, the doctor told tom he'd probably have to lie there for a little while. When I asked him if he wanted anything, a drink, some food, etc ... he astonished me with this reply. "Yes, Mom, there is one thing I'd like. Would you go get me the INSTORE magazine so I can read it while we wait? I haven't had time to read it, and this would be the perfect time." Do you believe it? All he wanted was your magazine as he lay there in pain, with a gaping hole in his hand, and I.V. in his arm. True testimony that you do indeed have the magazine everyone - regardless of their circumstances - wants to read. I hope this makes your day. It certainly helped me find a little humor in mine!

I have been a goldsmith-jeweler for many years and believe I am extremely competent. But, running a business has never been my strong point. INSTORE has greatly assisted me in this area. I regret not being aware of your magazine years ago. All the other publications that I receive deal with jewelry and not how to survive, prosper and grow in the jewelry business. I have only received INSTORE for a short time. But from the first issue, I realized this was a jewelry magazine unlike any other. Keep publishing a magazine that really helps a store owner.

My business increased 30% last year and another 30 % so far this year ... all due to following up on articles and ads in INSTORE!
